Sumcab Robotics has taken part in an industrial automation project developed for SEAT’s Martorell plant, in collaboration with Procon Systems. The solution made it possible to adapt a robotized line to a highly demanding technical process: the automated application of adhesive sealing patches on vehicles.
The main challenge of the project was to ensure the correct guidance of cables and tubes during the robot’s movements, avoiding interference and guaranteeing system reliability in an environment with limited space, restrictive bending radii and highly complex trajectories.
Thanks to the joint work of the technical teams involved, Sumcab Robotics designed and adjusted a tailor-made solution capable of following the robot’s real movement and protecting the energy package throughout the entire process. The intervention combined applied engineering, collaborative design, automotive industry expertise and final on-site adjustment.
This case reflects Sumcab Robotics’ ability to respond to complex robotic projects in real industrial environments, providing solutions adapted to the specific needs of each installation. The information is based on the original press release about the Sumcab Robotics success story.
