We are looking for a Purchasing and Supply Support Technician eager to develop their career in the field of Procurement.

🎯 The Role

To ensure the effective administrative and operational management of the supply process by maintaining accurate ERP data, proactively monitoring supplier lead times, and anticipating issues that could impact production or customer service.

📝 Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate order confirmations received from suppliers.
• Update confirmed delivery dates in the ERP system at purchase order line level.
• Prepare and send overdue delivery claims and follow up on upcoming deliveries.
• Conduct daily supplier follow-up and update newly reported lead times.
• Coordinate with the Sales Department to anticipate the impact of supply delays.
• Review and monitor the proper closure of purchase order lines.
• Coordinate with Sales on the closure of orders linked to customer-specific brands/private labels.
• Manage the return of cable reels to suppliers.
• Support the creation and issuance of purchase orders.
• Assist in managing stock shortages and critical production requirements.
• Update and maintain safety stock levels according to established criteria.
• Create and maintain new item records in the ERP system (Sage X3).
• Monitor quoted cables that have not resulted in sales.
• Actively contribute to process, procedure, and tool improvement initiatives within the Procurement and Supply Chain area.

🥇 You Are a Great Fit If You Have

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, supply planning, or operational management roles within the electrical cable industry or related industrial sectors.
• Vocational training (Higher National Diploma), Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in
• Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related industrial field.
• Strong knowledge of industrial procurement and supplier management processes.
• Experience working with industrial ERP systems (Sage X3 is highly desirable).
• Ability to manage a high volume of product references and multiple operational priorities.
• Previous experience in industrial manufacturing environments with dynamic operations and demanding service levels is highly valued.
