At booth E25, the Sumcab Industry unit will showcase its advanced ranges of motion cables for the automated industry, while Sumcab Robotics will exhibit its energy supply systems —highlighting Sumotex— and monitoring systems for robotic applications.
Sumcab, the only motion cable manufacturer in Spain, will participate in the upcoming edition of the Mindtech 2025 trade fair, to be held from June 17 to 19 in Vigo, with a technological proposal focused on innovation, reliability, and customization of cabling for industrial environments that demand high levels of performance, customization, or both. The company will present its solutions at booth E25 through its business units: Sumcab Industry and Sumcab Robotics.
Sumcab Industry: an expanded range to respond to every type of motion
Sumcab Industry reinforces its position as a benchmark partner in motion cabling solutions by presenting an expanded offer that covers both high-demand applications and more versatile needs:
PUR-sheathed range: Designed for high-performance industrial applications, this series is optimized for environments with continuous motion, intense accelerations, high speeds, and long travel distances—in drag chains, robotic applications, or automated machinery. Thanks to its mechanical resistance, abrasion resistance, and resistance to chemical agents, it represents the premium option for demanding dynamic systems and harsh operating conditions.
PVC-sheathed range: Intended for standard applications, this range offers reliable and versatile solutions for both fixed installations—such as in servomotors or control panels—and for continuous motion applications with moderate accelerations and forces, as well as medium travel lengths. Its balance between cost and performance makes it an effective alternative for a wide variety of industrial needs.
In addition, Sumcab offers robust customization capabilities, with special emphasis on the design and manufacturing of hybrid cables for drag chains, which allow for greater integration and optimization of installation space. These cables are especially suitable for medium loads, with medium to long travel lengths and accelerations, and are ideal for mobile use under medium mechanical stress and free movement.
Tailor-made, tested solutions for demanding environments
Sumcab’s technological and customization offering is based on the prototype development and product testing carried out at its Motion Competence Center, located at the Sumcab Tailor Made Cables production plant. This center enables the testing of real cable behavior under conditions that faithfully replicate operating environments, thus validating their performance against factors such as acceleration, speed, or mechanical fatigue. This rigorous process guarantees maximum reliability in dynamic applications.
Sumcab Robotics: advanced automation and predictive maintenance for robotic applications
The Sumcab Robotics business unit is responsible for providing solutions, services, and applications for automation and robotics. Among the most outstanding proposals for Mindtech are the Sumotex energy package and the SumoSense intelligent monitoring system, both proprietary developments that are becoming benchmarks for efficiency, safety, and early detection of technical issues in robotic applications.
Sumotex: flexible, safe, and efficient guidance. This cable and hose guiding system for industrial robots combines flexibility and strength through a system of air-assisted pressure chambers. This technology acts like an airbag, protecting the cabling against impacts, abrasion, and extreme temperatures, without the need for mechanical retraction systems. It simplifies programming, improves robot dynamics, and reduces energy consumption.
SumoSense: predictive maintenance and real-time control. This solution complements the Sumotex system by enabling real-time monitoring of the internal pressure within the energy package, automatically adjusting in the event of deviations. Thanks to its integrated microprocessor, storage capacity, and connectivity, the system allows data to be visualized from any device via the interface developed by Sumcab, enabling the detection of patterns and the suggestion of preventive actions before a failure occurs.
Sumcab Robotics will also present its MTPReel system, an automatic cable retractor, along with other energy supply packages designed for automated industrial environments.
Sumcab’s participation in Mindtech 2025 aligns with its strategic commitment to northern Spain as a key industrial hub. The trade fair represents an opportunity to strengthen its position in the sector, reinforce relationships with customers and partners, and continue learning firsthand about market needs.
