Cables specifically designed for the interconnection between the inspection robot (sewer) and the control terminal located on the surface.
The type of cable will largely depend on the type of robot to which it will be connected. The cable always holds conductors for the transmission of energy (power), but in addition to this, it may have conductors for communication, signal transmission or even hoses for the transport of water and air.
The robot motor is powered, its movement is controlled, video image and other relevant information for the system and the operator is transmitted, all through the cable.
Due to the highly aggressive environment, the cable must have a special sheath with high mechanical resistance and excellent chemical resistance, as well as proven resistance to faecal water (highly corrosive). In addition, they must be resistant to continuous movement (winding, pulling, bending and torsion) and have an optimised external diameter to facilitate the movement of the robot even in reduced spaces.
